Watch Online Shows on Any TV with Orb TV and Your Smartphone

The Orb TV device is about the size of a coaster, but it’s a powerful tool that works with your computer, Android or Apple smartphone, and your WiFi network to transfer music, photos, or video from your personal collection or from internet services.  You install the Orb Caster software on your computer (Apple or Windows), the Orb Controller application on your smartphone, and connect an Orb TV to any TV with a composite or component input.  The Orb Controller app will let you control multiple Orb TV devices in your home, and you can have multiple smartphones with Orb Controller apps so each person can control their own TV.  You can even have multiple Orb Caster installations in your home, so each user can have access to their own personal media libraries.  The Orb TV device is $99.00 at the Orb website. ...

Pantech Laser Review

The last several years have seen an explosion of mobile phones, more and more of which are able to access features and apps via wireless broadband.  Most of the attention has been on the big players with their “smartphones,” such as Apple’s iPhone, RIM’s BlackBerry and the many Google Android-based devices from various hardware makers.  However, there is another whole group of phones known as “feature phones” or “quick messaging phones” that, while they may not command the horsepower or notoriety of the big boys, are nonetheless loaded with features.  One such device is the ...

Piolo iPhone 4 Stand

The Piolo stand is small enough that you carry it on your keychain or in a pocket.  It’s so lightweight (3.1 grams) that you’ll hardly notice it’s there.  However, the Piolo stand is designed to hold your iPhone 4 in either the horizontal or vertical position so you can use FaceTime or watch videos for hours.  It’s made of thermoplastic elastomer that won’t scratch your iPhone 4, and it’s completely recyclable.  Piolo is available in cyan, magenta, yellow, black, or white.  It costs £4.00 – that’s about $6.00 or €5, and it ships worldwide. ...

Logitech HD Pro Webcam C910 Review

Logitech HD Pro Webcam C910

Logitech HD Pro Webcam. Whoopity doo.  Honestly, I hate to sound negative but I just do not get what the big deal is.   I get HD.  I do.  Maybe not in the same obsession as anyone with a television or cellphone or video camera.  That group is a whole different breed.   I’ve seen HD and because I’m married to a computer geek, you can bet everything is Hi-Def and Blu-Ray.  While I am not knocking how nice the picture is…I’m just not entirely a part of this “everything’s-gotta-be-HD.” ...

Invisible Money Clip

Here’s an unusual accessory – it’s a money clip that doesn’t look like a money clip.  The Invisible Money Clip is a sticker that you glue to the back of a dollar (or Euro or British pound, or whatever), and the magnets in the sticker turn that bill into a money clip.  You can keep your money neatly folded together without an obvious clip.   (I can’t find anything that says if the sticker is removable without destroying the bill.)  The Invisible Money Clip is $9.95.  You can even get them custom printed with your logo and business information for use as a unique customer gift. ...
