We have a little something for anyone who is considering Facial Plastic Surgery, an app consisting of before and after photographs of operations that were conducted by Dr. Steven Denenberg an expert in facial plastic surgery, with degrees from Harvard and Stanford Universities, two board certifications, twenty-five years of experience, and an international clientele. So you can decide if he is the surgeon for you.

The application is an easy-to-navigate collection of photographs from Dr. Denenberg's Web site, FacialSurgery.com. Please note that this iOS app is not a game. The app is for people who are considering having Dr. Denenberg undertake their surgery and gives them an insight into the kinds of changes he has accomplished.

The application enables the patient to study over three hundred before and after photographs in a more responsive and faster format than that of browsing through the Web and with this app, the patient can contact Dr. Denenberg to ask questions. Apple iPhone users can use their smartphones to take their photos and send them to Dr. Denenberg, all without having to come out of the app and they will receive personal responses from Dr. Denenberg to all communications. Also, they get a free online consultation.

Loading the app onto an Apple iPad enables you to be able to read the app’s electronic books. These Tutorials teach you how the most common facial plastic surgery operations are carried out, with numerous photos taken during surgery, diagrams and clear explanations. The Manuals show how Dr. Denenberg explains the operations to his patients and gives information about what it is like to go through surgery and the aftercare.

Droid Bionic Release by Motorola Form Factor Style

Posted: 28 Apr 2011 01:51 PM PDT

For those of you that have been waiting patiently for the next big Droid smartphone to release, news is that the Droid Bionic from Motorola is being prepared for a release and that it may come with a more aesthetically pleasing form factor.

The Droid Bionic was initially unveiled at CES 2011 earlier this year and received some negative feedback. However, it would appear that Motorola has taken this feedback onboard and have decided to make some enhancements to the device.

Now according to a screen shot coming to us from Droid-Life by way of Ubergizmo, it would appear that the Motorola's Droid Bionic LTE smartphone will be undergoing a number of changes, among them is "an improved form factor". The other enhancements to the smartphone mentioned in the screen shot are "expanded features and functionality", all to make this an even better consumer experience.

We did an article yesterday on the 'Droid Bionic Being Purged from Motorola Website' – see full article here. However, this screen shot appears to confirm that the device with it enhancements will be making an appearance this summer.

So now, all we need do is sit back and wait to see the emergence of the Motorola Droid Bionic released on Verizon Wireless later this summer and let us hope that there are no delays, like those that we experienced with the Droid Charge, and any outage issues will have been resolved by Verizon. Please give us your thoughts on the new enhancements to the Motorola Droid Bionic below.

New Google Docs Android App with OCR

Posted: 28 Apr 2011 10:42 AM PDT

Many users of smartphones will use their device to access, edit and share content whilst on the go. Well to aid in this pursuit Google have released a new Android app called 'Google Docs' that will make the management of documents a lot easier, the app also includes the ability to convert images into text.

The document editing is still carried out exclusively on the web, but with the added functionality of this Android app, the user's experience of Google Docs on their mobile device is greatly improved. Google accepts that documents are meant for sharing and therefore, they have added support for widgets that can easily access stored contacts. People could be tempted away from using traditional office suite software, with these kinds of improvements coming in.

Information on this app come to us by way of googlemobile.blogspot.com via VentureBeat and goes on to add, of all the additions perhaps the most notable is the Optical Character Recognition (OCR), which has the ability to convert words found in images into a document with editable text. However, this feature may not sit well with the old school bookstores, which invite customers in to lounge around sampling the books and magazines.

This Google Docs app is consistent with the company's overall strategy of enticing new users with the seamless integration of all its services into the Android platform, thus possibly making Android devices more desirable to new users.

At present, the Google Docs app is only available to devices that operate Android 2.1 or higher. So why not visit Android Market, install this app free of charge and then come back to tell us what you think.

App Store Could Be Overtaken By Android Market

Posted: 28 Apr 2011 07:09 AM PDT

The iOS fanboys are quite fond of touting the fact that Apple's App Store is the biggest and best and that Android trails behind, but that may not be the case for much longer according to a recent research report.

According to Phone Arena, researcher at Distimo reports that the latest analysis shows that the quantity of app in the Android Market grew some 16 percent in March compared to just 6 percent in the App Store.

Here's what the report says…" If all application stores maintain their current growth pace, approximately five months from now Google Android Market will be the largest store in terms of number of applications followed by the Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad, Windows Phone 7 Marketplace, BlackBerry App World and Nokia Ovi Store."

However we have already seen a previous report that says developers are more inclined to develop for iOS than Android, so this new report should for now at least be taken with a pinch of salt.

Having said that, sooner or later my guess is Apple will have to relinquish the claim of having the most app to Android, as currently apparently the Android Market offer more free apps than the App Store with Android having 134,342 while iOS has 121, 845…only a matter of time.

Posted: 28 Apr 2011 06:27 AM PDT

For the Android faithful that were expecting Verizon to make the Samsung Droid Charge available for purchase as of today the 28th, it appears you are in for a disappointment as word is the Samsung Droid Charge release has now been delayed.

According to the guys over at Engadget they have obtained a Verizon internal email, which apparently says that the release of the Samsung Droid Charge is delayed due to "unexpected delays" and Verizon hasn't given a new date for the launch.

Word is the Droid Charge could have been delayed due to Verizon's 4G LTE network outage; however apparently the guys have heard that the 4G LTE network is gradually being restored, but say that it is unlikely the Samsung Droid Charge will release today.

Unfortunate for those that are waiting to snap up the Android Samsung Droid Charge today but hopefully the Big Red will get their LTE sorted and push out the 4G smartphone as soon as possible. Anyone annoyed they can't get the Droid Charge today?

HTC Kingdom Another New Android Smartphone Pictured

Posted: 28 Apr 2011 05:31 AM PDT

Well it looks like old HTC has more than one new Android smartphone to tempt customer with, as we've just learnt about the HTC Rider being spotted and now another new HTC handset gets pictured called the HTC Kingdom.

The guys over at Pocket Now spotted the HTC Kingdom on the same site as the HTC Rider, 911 Sniper Blog, and say that the new Android handset looks similar to the Verizon HTC Thunderbolt, runs the Android OS and has a qHD display.

Like the HTC Rider, the HTC Kingdom doesn't come with any word of what one can expect spec wise, but apparently the HTC Kingdom could be another smartphone headed for Europe, but other than that with a qHD display it should sport HTC Sense 3.0.

And that's about all we can tell you about the HTC Kingdom for now, but we will of course bring you more information on the device as and when it becomes available.

New HTC Rider Android Smartphone Pictured

Posted: 28 Apr 2011 04:50 AM PDT

Looks like there may be a new Android smartphone in the making in the HTC camp that will be known as the HTC Rider, and said HTC Rider has apparently found its way into the hands of a Chinese website, but word is this one isn't a clone.

According to the guys over at Ubergizmo, by way of Uberphones, Chinese site 911 Sniper Blog somehow got hold of the HTC Rider and posted a rather blurred snap of the device, but nothing else.

The guys reckon the HTC Rider looks similar to the HTC EVO 3D with the exception that this device has a chrome grill over the earpiece and a front facing camera to the right, and it's not too clear whether that red trim is the colour of the Android handset or if it's a case.

Apparently the rumour doing the rounds is that the HTC Rider is actually the European version of the HTC EVO 3D, but that at the moment is simply speculation, but no doubt given time HTC will get around to officially taking the wraps of this new device.
