LG Optimus Black Euro Debut This Month US After

For anyone who is of a mind to pick up the LG Optimus Black as their favoured Android smartphone you may like to know roughly when you will see the handset, and the latest word on that matter has now been revealed.

According to an article over on Engadget, LG have now officially announced that the LG Optimus Black, a device that comes sporting LG's new NOVA display will make its international debut in Europe later this month.

After the Android 2.2 Froyo sporting handset is debuted in Europe the handset will then head for US and Asia shores, with pre-orders for the device from 56 networks across 50 countries.

The President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, Dr. Jong-seok Park says, “For smartphone users who appreciate both style and substance, the LG Optimus Black offers beauty, performance and mobility in one smart package."

No word on exactly which European countries will gain the device first, just when it will be available or for how much. So any of our readers in Europe hoping to snap up the LG Optimus Black when the 700 nits 4-inch NOVA touch screen handset becomes available

Droid Charge, HTC Thunderbolt Face Off Videos

Today we have a little Verizon Android against Verizon Android smartphone comparison battle for your viewing pleasure below that pits the new kid on the block, the Samsung Droid Charge up against the current hot handset on Verizon, the HTC Thunderbolt.

The two-part Samsung Droid Charge versus the HTC Thunderbolt comparison video comes our way courtesy of Aaron Baker over at Phone Dog and delivers up just over 27.5 minutes of face to face fighting between the two top Android handsets capable of playing nice on Verizon's 4G LTE network.

Spec wise both devices are somewhat similar with 4.3-inch touch screens, Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, 8 megapixel camera, 1.3 front facing camera, while the Samsung Droid Charge has a 1GHz Hummingbird processor and the HTC Thunderbolt has a 1GHz Snapdragon processor.

But can either of these two Android smartphones come out an overall victor in this battle, well to find that out you are going to have to hit those play buttons, and of course we'd like to know if you agree or disagree with the outcome…enjoy.

We have another battle video between iOS and Android today on the tablet front today, obviously pitting Apple's latest baby, the Apple iPad 2 against the latest Android tablet to hit the scene, the Asus Eee Pad Transformer.

The iPad 2 versus the Asus Eee Pad Transformer comparison video comes our way courtesy of Jon Rettinger over at Technobuffalo, who places the iOS and Android tablets in a head to head confrontation to see which can come out the victor.

In this 22-minute tablet battle Jon, puts both tablets through 6 rounds, operating system, speed, screen, browser, intangibles and applications, but which of these two rivals can come out on top in this iOS against Android tablet battle?
